Tim Tyler is a 2024 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Bear, DE who attends Caravel Academy. Large, physical build with well-proportioned strength throughout his frame. 7.39-second runner during the sixty. Primary first baseman, moved well around the bag showing a strong feel for the position. Clean glove actions with a deep funnel and deliberate footwork. Big-time arm, clocking 85 mph across the diamond. Secondary left-handed pitcher, utilized a full wind up starting on the third base side of the rubber. Belt-high leg-lift, using his long limbs to get down the slope. Comes from a deceptive 3/4 slot with a lively fastball that generated whiffs. Sat in the mid-80s, grabbing an 87 mph during his outing. Dropped his slot slightly on his slider that displayed some horizontal depth and late bite to it. More velo left in the tank with some refinement to his mechanics. Also worked out in the outfield, playing through the ball aggressively, carrying his momentum through his throws well. Up to 87 mph with on line and accurate throws to the bases. Left-handed hitter, sets up with a narrow, upright stance. Ball jumped off his bat to the right-center field gap, impacting the ball to the pull side consistently during his round. Present strength to his hands that generated some whip to his barrel. Tremendous student. Named to Fall East Coast Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
