Mason Diamond is a 2026 C/1B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Springfield, GA who attends Benedictine Military. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.06 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set up behind the plate, receives the ball well out front and shows a quick transfer out of the glove, gains some ground coming out of the crouch, can stay lower in set up at start, shows some carry on throws down to second base, 2.06 best pop. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a short stride forward moving into contact. Strength in forearms, stays shorter to the ball with hands, strength plays and shows comfort working to the gaps. Creates some lift to path out to the pull side, full finish through the point of contact, can implement additional extension out front. Excellent student.
