Chase Cartron is a 2024 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-6 215 lb. frame from Owens Cross Roads, AL who attends Huntsville. Extra long and strong athletic build. Left handed hitter, reverse stride start to his swing, under control upper body swing, has big leverage and power potential when he gets into his back hip and fires the barrel, hits under control most of the time with barrel accuracy and some mid field line drive jump, lots more power there to develop as he gets more repetitions but has a good swing base and approach to build on. 8.00 runner in the sixty. Has athletic one-spot actions at first base on defense, has quick hands and a quick release, obviously a big target with reach as well. Took a turn on the mound, has a high leg raise delivery with tall and fall mechanics down the mound, lands somewhat closed out front. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, would throw harder with better direction. Flashed a nice change up in addition to a soft curveball. Very athletic for his size/age with lots of tools to develop. Good student. Named to the Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
