Frederick Ragsdale is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 5-6 155 lb. frame from Burr Ridge, IL who attends Lyons Twp. Smaller frame with a lean build showing plenty of room to fill out physically in the future. Ran a 7.13 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, working to the baseball with athleticism as he scoops to the side with confidence. Carries weight well into throws as he released from a higher slot. Threw it 85 mph with carry to throws and was accurate to the bag. Secondary Left-Handed Pitcher, side-step to a belt high lift as he stays balanced throughout the motion. Drives while staying direct to dish before filling up the zone. Fastball up to 77 mph and mixed in a slider showing late vertical depth. Left-Handed Hitter, starting open with a lower hands set as he works into his stride. Simple timing mechanisms as he proved he can match plane while finding the barrel. Stays inside the baseball and can spray the baseball to all fields. Squared it up in games and took a solid round of batting practice. Outstanding Student. Named to National Academic Top Prospect List.
