Tyler Rothell is a 2026 1B/RHP/2B with a 5-11 183 lb. frame from Demorest, GA who attends Habersham Central. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread bent knee stance with a busy hand load, swings hard and creates bat speed, stayed well timed with some rhythm to his hand action, gets the ball in the air consistently to the pull side, has hitting tools to further develop. Primary first baseman on defense, is aggressive to the ball and takes good angles, fields the ball cleanly with good footwork and a clean funnel, good arm strength. Looks like he has the athleticism and actions to play third base as well. Took a turn on the mound, has a high leg raise start with drop and drive lower half mechanics to the plate, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was in the low-80's and topped out at 84 mph, stayed down in the zone well and got some sink and cut at different times. Curveball was a good pitch with 2500+ rpm spin and good depth in the upper 60's, mixed his pitches well and changed hitter's eye levels while getting quick outs. Well rounded skills and tools. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
