Ben Brash is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Aiken, SC who attends South Aiken. Large frame with broad shoulders and tremendous overall physicality, classic power pitchers build. Primary position RHP working with a vintage full hands over head delivery. Compact arm path with tight 3/4 arm angle, repeating mechanics and release point very well. Dominated opponents with his FB/SL combination in game action. FB displayed some run and sink to the arm side and peaked at 83 mph with average spin profiles. SL was his carrying pitch, consistently creating swing and miss even when the hitter knew it was coming. SL reached 76 mph and spun in the 2,100+ rpm range the entire outing. The breaker has big time potential for the long term. RHH taking swings in BP starting with the bat flat over his shoulder and using a wide stance in his legs. Quiet stride gets him off his backside and when on time had real strength at impact. Pull oriented approach and showed his best contact on balls pulled in the air. Still more in the tank with the stick and with his physicality there is still a lot of projection ahead. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
