RJ Machado is a 2025 SS/3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Sunrise, FL who attends American Heritage. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 6.64 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, sound footwork moving to the backhand, extra step coming through the ball into release, full arm action and shows arm strength and carry across the diamond, maintained body control on the slow roller, tends to get too quick with release at times. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even base and a high back elbow, incorporates a small stride through lower half moving into contact. Contact oriented approach and showed a consistent swing through the zone, looks to create extension out front. Comfort working back up the middle, line drive contact with a handle for the barrel. Very good student.
