Erick Castro is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Northampton, PA who attends Northampton Area. Recorded a 7.21-second sixty-yard time. Young, athletic frame with tons of project ability remaining. Primary shortstop , plays up on his toes with some athleticism to his actions. Deep fielding funnel, playing through the ball well, up to 76 mph across the diamond. Flashed some range going up the middle with long strides. Right-handed pitcher, athletic operation with some life in his arm. High 3/4 arm slot, creating some downhill, sinking action with his fastball. Sat 79-81 mph during his outing, filling the zone, working in all four quadrants. Developing feel for breaking ball. Switch hitter, from the left-side, lofted stroke working more to the pull side, getting the barrel out as he was trying to elevate the ball. Flashing some power potential as he adds strength throughout his frame. From the right-side, line-drive swing plane flashing impact through the middle of the field. Good student. Named to 2021 Fall East Coast Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
