Jaylon Allen is a 2026 SS/2B/OF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Douglasville, GA who attends Chapel Hill. Smaller young athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Elite level runner, 6.25 in the sixty, is 67-68 on stolen base attempts the last 2 years in PG tournaments, will be fun to see him run if he can gain 20 pounds by his senior year. Primary middle infielder on defense with second base tools, has athletic actions to and through he ball with good hands fielding, arm strength is his only limiting defensive tool. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced and quiet stance with good rhythm into his swing, stays within himself, high contact swing approach with middle of the field contact, very sound approach for his size and tool set. Speed is his obvious separating tool. Good student. Named to the National Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.
