Yuta Shimo is a 2024 OF/2B with a 5-6 165 lb. frame from McLean, VA who attends Mclean. Shorter compact build with some present strength. Very good runner, 6.57 in the sixty. Center field tools on defense, has a quick first step and is aggressive to the ball and works through it with momentum, can still develop his footwork into his throws, has solid arm strength and makes accurate throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a moderate stride into his swing, has fast hands and a quick and direct swing, aggressive hitting approach, works gap to gap with some jump off the barrel. Excellent student. Named to the HS All-State Select Championship Top Prospect List.
