Mateo Gray is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Weston, FL who attends North Broward Prep. Taller, with a strong and physical frame and lots of current strength. Ran a 6.83 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, short and quick steps with a solid first move. Tools to stay on the left side with a very strong arm, 91 mph. Also worked out in the outfield, direct routes and worked through the ball well. The arm should play on a corner and he showed accuracy to go with 93 mph arm strength. A right-handed hitter, higher hand set and a rhythmic process. Lots of strength in the hands and the juice comes easy. Consistent performer given his strength and feel for the barrel. A secondary pitcher that sat i nthe low 90s with a heavy fastball and competitive disposition. Confidence in both his slider and changeup. Pounds the zone. Excellent 2-way player. Outstanding student and committed to UCF.
