Sal Mineo is a 2024 OF/LHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Prospect, PA who attends Slippery Rock Area. It didn't take long for Mineo to turn some heads, starting his day by posting a 6.57 sixty yard dash time. The speed tool directly translated to his primary OF spot where he covered ground well with solid arm speed and plenty of carry up to 95 mph. He showed clean glove actions out in front with real arm strength to put it simply. On the mound, Mineo released from a high 3/4 slot flashing drop and drive mechanics that got downhill well and ultimately topped out at 88 mph. He mixed a tighter SL with shorter horizontal tilt that froze hitters on multiple occasions up to 2014 rpm. Offensively, the lefty started from an even balanced base and swung with tons of intent to do damage to the gaps with compactness/quickness to the hands. He kept the bat path level through the zone, posting an exit velo of 91 mph. Great student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
