Delvis Valdez is a 2025 3B/RHP, OF with a 5-7 120 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, NC. Medium, square shouldered frame with a lean and projectable build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 9.21 60-yard dash. Listed as a primary third baseman, only took reps in the outfield this look, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields it closer to body, extra step moving into release with a longer arm action, tall release, arm strength and carry on throws will continue to develop. Also pitched, high leg lift up past belt and gets tall on backside, strides on line with a short short arm action through the back. Fastball topped out at 57 mph with occasional cut action; spins the curveball and landed it for strikes with short 11-5 shape up to 52 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Barrel wrap at start of swing, longer path through the zone and keeps inside the baseball. Bat speed will continue to develop with strength, occasionally gets to front side early, patient approach in the box. Very good student.
