Armando Monday is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Palm Harbor, FL, who attends Clearwater Central Catholic. A medium frame with strength present. Ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who works with an open setup and had a shorter arm stroke on throws down to second. He had a speedy catch-and-throw from behind the dish, with firm throws that came off out at 70 mph. They were accurate around the tag zone with good flight. Popped a 2.12 during his round, and the catch-and-throw in-game was impressive. He also worked out as an infielder, getting the hands out front to field it with good strength on the throws at 74 mph across the infield. Showed the footwork during his round with good picks from the glove. A right-handed hitter with high set hands and a high-back elbow. Bigger leg lift trigger working direct to it with the hands. Drives the ball hard and has some strength at impact. Was able to work on the barrel and drive a few into the left-center gap, and attack pull-side. Some juice showing during his round of BP as well. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher. Used a side rocker step into a leg lift at the belt, with good rhythm to his operation. Shorter arm stroke, working from a higher three-quarters arm slot. The fastball works the low-70s and gets some arm-side run to it. He was able to elevate the pitch at times as well. He showed a 12-6 shaped breaking ball around 60 mph as well. Busted out the knuckleball as well, landing it for a called strike with good action to it. Was efficient in his outing on the mound. Great student. Named to 13u/14u Florida Showcase TP List.
