Alex Bello is a 2029 RHP/SS with a 6-2 163 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Montverde Academy. Large, athletic build with well-proportioned strength present and more to project for. 7.61 runner in the sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a simple delivery with a good lateral drive down the slope. Moves inline and works into a medium arm path before releasing the baseball from an extended three-quarters arm slot. Has tons of quickness in the arm. Fastball showed turbo sink to the arm-side, ultimately peaking at 91 mph. Landed a tight slider with short lateral bite and spin around 2200 rpm for strikes. Mixed in a more vertical curveball with spin around 2500 rpm as well as a fading changeup. Offers plenty of upside and intrigue on a mound. Secondary shortstop, showed some feel for his footwork in the dirt. Fields the baseball cleanly out front but tends to stab at the backhands. Throws had easy carry across the diamond with good accuracy. Clocked at 87 mph in the infield. Right-handed batter, starts in an even, open stance with a high back elbow. Utilizes a negative toe-tap trigger for timing before working into a flatter bat path. Tends to move his hands too much during the load, making it difficult to get on-plane. Can get too rotational at times. Has plenty of evident strength in the hands with more power to project on moving forward. Posted an exit velocity of 88 mph. Named to play in the Perfect Game 14U Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
