Jake Hardeman is a 2021 RHP/ with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Maysville, KY who attends Mason County. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple rock step to high leg lift delivery. Stays balanced on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop an drive actions. Loose arm circle at take back and released from an extended, high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed good downhill plane through the zone with occasional run in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 78 mph. Showed good feel for fastball and consistently worked to the edges of the zone. Curveball had 11/5 shape with looser spin and some depth to the bottom quadrants of the zone. Also flashed a changeup offering that showed some sink in the mid 60's. Consistently looked to attack the zone and induced weaker contact. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and toe tap trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Showed developing feel for the barrel when employing a gap to gap approach. Flashed some jump off the barrel when on time and squared.
