2022 New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Andrew Haddad is a 2023 RHP/C/1B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends Regis. Haddad works out of a strong broad frame and looked comfortable from his primary spot on the bump where he used a low 3/4 slot and full arm circle to pound the zone with a heavy FB up to 81 mph. The righty started from an offset open start with clean mechanics, flashing a changeup in the arsenal to keep hitters off balance. Moving behind the dish, Haddad displayed quick smooth transfers and threw from a high compact arm slot. Posted a 2.00 pop time. Offensively, he started from a slightly open stance with a high hand set that produced some loud contact and an exit velo of 88 mph. Haddad has evident strength in the lower half that can be even further incorporated into the stroke to reach dangerous levels of power potential. Good student.
