Osmin Melendez is a 2022 SS/2B/3B with a 6-2 171 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Reborn Christian Academy. Long and lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining, resembles a 2023 or even a 2024 athlete physically. 6.78 runner in the sixty. Has nice defensive actions especially with his lower half, circles the ball well with good footwork and is light on his feet, hands are smooth and in good position, arm works well but is still gaining strength. Right handed hitter, hits from an open and narrow stance, moves into contact well with a short stride and aggressive hips, gets the barrel extended well through contact and gets some jump to mid field and the pull side. Will be interesting to watch as he gains further strength and physical maturity. Good student, signed with Seminole State College. Named to the World Showcase Top Prospect List.
