Jayden Fernandez is a 2028 C/RHP/IF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Winter Haven, FL who attends Winter Haven Senior. Young, square shouldered frame with room to develop throughout moving forward. ran a 9.90 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, shows quickness to actions coming out of the crouch, shorter take back on throws, can continue to implement additional lower half into gaining ground, quicker transfer with some accuracy on throws, arm strength and carry will continue to develop. Longer arm action on throws across the infield, young actions, plays high at the ball. Also pitched, big rock step at top of delivery, similar long arm action into a higher three-quarters release point. Front side tends to open early, fastball topped out at 64 mph and flashed 11-5 shape to curveball up to 59 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and an inverted front foot; loads weight onto backside at start. Handsy stroke, creates some line drive contact and showed ability to work around the diamond, can incorporate additional lower half into swing.
