2022 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase  
Michael Whitmore is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Medford, NJ who attends Shawnee. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present phsyical strength, additional room to fill throughout. Right-handed pitcher, utilizes a full windup on the mound, slightly coiled leg lift at top of delivery and incorporates lower half well; loose and easy arm action through the backside working to a three-quarters release, creates some whip out front. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, filled up the zone with sinking life, able to induce weak contact off of the bat. Comfort to add and subtract to slider to change the shape, slurve finish in the low-70s and comfort landing for strikes. Sequences well and mixed a changeup with a replicated release, sells it well up to 71 mph with some tumble and very low spin rates. Maintained well throughout and shows comfort with all three pitches around the zone. Very good student.
