Christopher Fuchs is a 6'1" 185 pound 2007 right handed pitcher and first baseman from Pembroke Pines Charter High School in Pembroke Pines, Florida who was named to the Top Prospect Team. He has a mature build with a very strong lean frame. Christopher throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm. He has a very fluid drop and drive delivery with clean mechanics and a good tempo. He gets good extension which makes his fastball at 83 mph have good run. He throws a change up at 73 mph but his best pitch is his curveball. He throws it at 68 mph with good hard 10/4 bite. This is his strikeout pitch. He hits corners with his pitches and has very good command of all three. Fuchs has a simple approach at the plate with a narrow stance. He has some bat speed with a short line drive swing. He seems to like the ball down in the zone and will turn on balls inside. He made solid contact and showed above average power to the gaps. Fuchs also showed his arm strength in the outfield by throwing 82 mph during the workout. Christopher is a good prospect who is a good student as well with a 3.2 gpa and an 1190 on his SAT.
