Dylan Whitmire is a 2024 C/RHP/IF/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Virgina Beach, VA who attends Frank W. Cox. Slender young athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a hand drop load, swung the bat very well in the games when he was aggressive attacking balls and turning the barrel, has more bat speed and pop than his size and age would indicate. 7.94 runner in the sixty. Played all over the field on defense, has a short compact catcher's arm action with developing arm strength, time will tell what position he develops best at. Also pitched, big side step start, stays on line well to an over the top arm slot. Low 70's fastball topped out at 73 mph with occasional cutting action glove side and fade arm side, also threw a soft curveball, did a good job throwing strikes. Very good student.
