2023 West Coast Prospect Showcase
Isaac Grimaldo is a 2026 OF/RHP, UT with a lean, projectable, high waisted 5-11 145 lb. frame from Santa Ana, CA who attends Fountain Valley HS. Started the event off clocking a 7.40 60-yard dash. A primary outfielder that pitches as well. At the plate he shows present bat speed coupled with the ability to barrel up the baseball in a consistent manner and getting good extension through contact giving the baseball carry. In the outfield Grimaldo worked through the baseball with confidence and delivered a few strikes with carry to the bases. On the mound he features a 3-pitch mix (FB, SL, CH) out of a 3/4 arm slot. Worked three efficient innings, allowing two hits, no walks and striking out three on 38 pitches. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
