Ryan Castrillon is a 2022 3B/RHP/MIF/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Seaford, NY who attends MacArthur. Castrillon fits the definition of a swiss army knife, excelling at multiple positions across the field. Starting with his primary INF position, he showcased accurate throws with life on the arm up to 79 mph from SS and 80 mph from 1B. He displayed clean glovework with athleticism and strength in the build. On the bump, the righty used a coiled lift and 3/4 arm slot to pound the zone consistently with a FB up to 81 mph. He produces swing and miss and flashes a solid breaker that can be controlled in any count. Offensively, Castrillon started from a narrow stance with constant line drive contact from gap to gap. Ran a 7.69 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
