2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Ian Anderson is a 2021 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Lakeland, FL who attends Lakeland Christian. Strong athletic build. Primary left handed pitcher who might be a better position prospect. Fast paced delivery on the mound, compact arm action in back hides the ball well, delivery can get to fast at times and leave his arm behind, better stuff and location out of the stretch with better pace to his delivery. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, has been consistently up to 86-87 mph at past PG events, gets plus late hard running life at times. Slider was a solid second pitch with good power and a small late sharp bite. 6.97 runner in the sixty, showed his athleticism well in the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a low hand load, simple well timed swing, has present bat speed and the ball comes off his barrel hard, chance to have plus power as he continues to mature physically, can get his lower half into his swing more. Good student, signed with South Florida CC. Named to the Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
