Jackson Muir is a 2023 3B/RHP, OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Ann Arbor, MI who attends Saline. Recorded a 6.97 second sixty yard dash time, showcasing good speed. Lean and athletic build, tall frame that projects very well moving forward. Primary third baseman with obvious arm strength present, has the ability to stay on the left side of the infield long term because of it. Has athleticism and foot speed to project on, developing actions and fluidity at present. At his best when making plays on the move and going up the middle. Secondary right-handed pitcher, stays upright throughout the delivery and utilizes tall and fall lower half mechanics. Closes himself off by stepping towards the third base side of the mound, showed a longer arm circle through the back that got slightly offline. Very live fastball with a lot of late action, is still developing feel for his breaking ball but shows good bite and late downer action when he finds it. Tunnels the changeup very well and it looks identical to the fastball, also threw a sinker to boot. Intriguing potential on the mound going forward. Right-handed hitter with an even stance, utilizes a long stride forward into contact. Is late getting the foot down at times, has a short swing with present bat speed. Showed the ability to elevate, has a pull side approach with developing barrel control at present. Has the body and tools to really improve moving forward. Great student. Named to the 2021 Fall Midwest Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
