Austin Knierim is a 2026 SS/RHP/MIF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Brooksville, FL who attends Hernando. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Left handed hitter, hits from an open start with an easy close and good rhythm to his swing, turns hard and creates very good bat speed, aggressive pull oriented swing, showed big juice on the ball, impressive present bat speed from an athlete who projects to get much stronger. 6.82 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has clean actions overall, gets the glove down early and fields it cleanly, is balanced and under control on the run, throws from a high slot when set with good carry on his throws, plenty of middle of the field athleticism. Took at turn on the mound, has a simple turn and throw delivery with a compact high 3/4's arm action. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, has big confidence in his change up and will double/triple up on it, bigger soft 11/5 curveball can be effective too. Solid three-pitch mix of strikes. Just a good all around athlete who has a chance to stand out with the bat. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
