Carson Richter is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Newbury Park, CA who attends Newbury Park. Big broad shoulder athletic build with long limbs and lots of present strength. 6.68 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, is aggressive to the ball and has good direction into his throws, high effort thrower but maintains his mechanics well and makes hard on-line throws, right field tools and projection. Right handed hitter, sets up in a wide base with a deep hand load, full arm extension and will hit around the ball at times, pull to mid field contact, more power there with adjustments. Also pitched, works exclusively from the stretch with a high 3/4's arm slot, gets into his lower half well and drives down the mound. Fastball was in the mid-80's with come cutting life, topped out at 87 mph. Threw a nice fading change up that killed spin well as his secondary pitch. Good student.
