Caine Love is a 2027 OF/UT with a 6-1 173 lb. frame from Angleton, TX who attends Brazosport Christian. Primary OF with a lean and athletic frame. Moves well to the ball with a quick first step and fields it off to side with a one hand gather. Gets it out with really good pace and has a quick transfer and release. Throws from a lower slot with a quick whippy arm. Was up to 81 from the outfield with low liner throws and good accuracy. Also played infield fielding the ball with an upright posture. Made all the plays cleanly and showed some good arm strength with accuracy. Throws from a lower slot. Showed good lateral range with quality glove work and hands. Should continue to get better in the outfield and on the dirt. Was up to 80 from across the diamond. Switch hitter with a balanced base starting slightly open. Uses a toe tap for rhythm and timing. Swing looks good with a clean path and good smoothness to it especially from the left side. Tends to pull head out at times which messes with ability to make hard contact and will need to stay on it more consistently. Has some feel for the barrel and could impact it when on time and on plane. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
