2019 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Jack Eliason is a 2023 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Delano, MN who attends Delano. The primary right-handed pitcher has a tall and lanky frame with extra long legs and arms. He worked exclusively out of the stretch. Short arm stroke on the back side and a 3/4 release and he used his frame well to get good extension. Confident throwing his curveball that had 11/5 shape and landed it to the glove side for strikes. High upside as his frame fills out. The secondary first baseman displayed the ability to consistently square balls up and field out front. Accurate throwing to the bases and has feel for the game. The right-handed hitter works to stay inside the ball and work the opposite field. He gets extended through contact and has ability to use his long levers well, when on time.
