Everett Garber is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Dwight-Englewood. Larger, athletic frame with a high waist, square shoulders and lean muscle throughout. Projects to add more strength as he continues to physically mature. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Quick leg lift into balance with good lower half usage down the slope and some deception due to cross-body stride. Fastball worked steadily into the low-80s with heavy sink and run to it, while ticking up at times and ultimately topping out at 84 mph from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Strike thrower with ability to manipulate the baseball a bit, mixed in two-plane slider with some swing-and-miss qualities. Will continue to improve with additional velocity. Secondary first baseman with some agility and athleticism in his actions throughout the fielding process. Displayed a clean funnel out in-front and quickness to his turns. Recorded arm strength up to 84 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with a high, flat hand start and toe-tap trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with flatter swing path and some feel for the barrel. Showcased some strength at impact when on-time and flashed some gap-to-gap power potential. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments. Solid two-way prospect with tons of upside on the mound. Good Student. Named to the 2023 New York Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
