Alejandro Ramos Ponce is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Brandon, FL who attends Bloomingdale. Large, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout frame, additional room to fill moving forward. Ran an 8.12 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins with a side step moving into a belt high leg lift; long arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 71 mph, flashed sinking life when down in the zone. Works quickly, short stride down the mound, gets inconsistent with mechanics at times. Curveball showed 12-6 shape when on top of the pitch, up to 61 mph. Similar arm action from the outfield, takes short steps towards the ball, gets under the ball at release. Righthanded hitter, begins with a closed stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow. Long swing path through the zone, creates some bat speed, shows comfort turning on the inside pitch.
