Matthew Roussey is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-4 198 lb. frame from Ashburn, VA who attends Paul VI Catholic. Very good young pitchers build with some strength in his legs and core and more to come. Works from the stretch with a linear delivery and a short and compact arm action in back, over the top arm slot, gets into his core well and turns hard as he accelerates into his release, throws with intent. Fastball worked up to 86 mph with good carry through the zone. Showed the ability to manipulate his breaking ball effectively, threw a hard curveball with downer shape and also flashed a harder late two-plane slider, both were good pitches for him. Change was a solid pitch as well with hard running life. Threw with composure and aggressiveness and showed some positive emotion on the mound. Good student. Named to the Virginia Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
