Brian Grant is a 2028 2B/RHP/C with a 5-10 158 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Woodward Academy. Medium, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, young actions on the move, fields it cleanly out front, deliberate tempo and can quicken moving forward, shows accuracy on throws across the diamond, moves with balance to either side. Lower set up behind the plate during drills, repeats actions coming out of crouch, can implement additional footwork and lower half into release, accurate throws with developing arm strength down to second base. Also pitched, shorter leg lift at start just below the belt, medium length arm stroke to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 77 mph to put away a hitter, pitched to contact and flashed a short curveball up to 58 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even and balanced set up at the plate with a lower back elbow. Keeps hands inside the baseball, best contact to the middle of the field and split the right-center field gap in live action for a double. Creates some impact at the point of contact when extended out front, has some present feel for the barrel. Very good student.
