Denzell Watkins is a 2026 SS/C with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Duluth, GA who attends Greater Atlanta Christian School. Medium frame with an athletic build starting to show some physical strength. Ran a 7.34 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, bouncing around showing lateral range with a good first step. Feel for the glove showing as he scoops it up out front. Carries weight well into transfer and released with a smooth arm. Accurate while up to 74 mph during drills. Fundamentally sound. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working into a belt high lift as he stays simple in the actions. Drops and drives while getting over the front side. Smooth arm stroke from a higher slot release. Filled up the zone with mainly fastballs while up to 74 mph (2073 rpm). Breaking ball in low-60's (1809 rpm). Switch Hitter, from the right-side, balanced to start with active hands. Short leg lift to stride as he lands balanced. Looks to the upper-half to generate bat speed. Linear cut and looks to drive it back up the middle. Proved he could find the barrel and square it up. From the left-side, similar stance to start. Strides in as he transfers little weight. Also relies on hand strength to generate bat speed. Stays linear and also proved he could find the barrel from this side. Had multiple hits during games from each side of the dish. Great Student. Named to 13U/14U Summer Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
