Cayden Rhodes is a 2025 RHP/3B, OF with a 5-11 138 lb. frame from Longview, TX who attends Spring Hill. Medium, athletic frame with long limbs and square shoulders, lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, higher leg lift up past belt and gets tall on backside, full and loose arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Clean and low effort release, fastball topped out at 80 mph with short running life through the zone, projects for more velocity with additional lower half incorporated into finish. Worked around the zone and lived down, changeup showed nice diving action up to 74 mph and mixed a curveball with short 11-5 shape up to 69 mph, all pitches thrown from same slot, does tend to slow arm action on release of breaker. Attacks the ball well in the outfield with easy actions, smooth gather and hands works at the ball, low effort release, occasional uphill at release. Young actions in the infield, showed some range, plays tall, accuracy on throws across. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate; handsy and rotational swing, keeps hands inside the ball, full swing path through the zone, shows some quickness, tends to open front side early with swing.
