2025 PG Southeast High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Braylon Whitfield is a 2028 SS/RHP, 1B, 2B, 3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Marietta. Medium, athletic frame. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter, high hands and back elbow in the stance with medium and even feet, downhill path through the zone with solid bat speed and strength. Worked best to the pull-side, consistent liners throughout the round. Bat speed/power should trend up with added strength. Primary shortstop, corner type actions with step by step footwork, gets to the spot and fields with a two hand funnel out front. Clean glovework, showed ability to change arm angles on throws with developing arm strength across, recorded throws up to 72 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher, belt high leg lift to balance, works from the full windup, simple lower half mechanics and gets down the mound. Solid two-pitch mix, fastball got up to 74 mph (1904 RPM) and showed a curveball with 11-5 shape, up to 62 mph (1864 RPM). Great student.
