Jake Adams is a 2024 3B/RHP/UT with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Springfield, PA who attends Springfield. Long young build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a even balanced stance, has a simple and well-timed swing that he executes well, short and compact to the ball, showed a very accurate barrel in the games with solid middle of the field line drive contact, flashed some carry when he pulled the ball, projects well as a hitter. 7.21 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, best present tool is his glove, fields the ball cleanly out front with a clean funnel, made accurate throws. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a long arm action and a 3/4's arm slot, has some effort at release. Fastball worked in the mid-70's and topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side life. Best pitch this outing was his breaking ball, had a nice ability to change the shape and size of the pitch while consistently landing it in the strike zone, got lots of swing and miss on the pitch. Also flashed a nice change up that he can use more. Good student.
