Romel Garcia is a 2024 3B/RHP/IF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Grand Prairie, TX who attends Martin. Primary third base with a physical and athletic build. Good body type with size. Starts low and fields it cleanly out in front. Works around the ball well with good footwork. Has a strong arm and can make throws with good accuracy. Profiles well on the corner and moves well for his size. Good soft hands and can make plays. Also ran a 7.66 sixty. Also pitched throwing from a full 3/4 slot. Uses a big rock back high leg kick to get downhill and in line. Stays closed well throughout the delivery and forces some deception hiding the ball well while staying short. Fastball jumps out of hand with late running life and was up to 86. Extra effective when the body and arm are fully synced up. Went to a slider with heavy downer depth and bite as a real solid out pitch. Went to a change, just needs to mimic arm speed better when going to this. Projects really well off the bump. Right-handed hitter with an open stance. Starts upright and uses a big leg lift and stride for timing and rhythm. Can really rotate and torque it throughout the process swinging with good rhythm. Can really impact the ball hard especially to pull and up the middle. Was on the barrel a lot showing big time strength in the hands with bat speed. Some legitimate juice in the bat here. Excellent student. Also named to the Top Prospect List.
