Thad Young is a 2021 RHP/1B with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from Magnolia, TX who attends Magnolia. Recorded a 7.53 second sixty-yard dash time. Large, broad shouldered frame with some projection remaining. Primary right-handed pitcher; uses a small side-step rocker into a slightly higher, coiled leg lift to work down the slope with a shorter stride than usual for someone his height. Tall-to-fall lower half mechanics with the ability to garner more separation and extension with minor refinements. Fastball worked in the 78-84 mile per hour range from a higher three-quarters arm slot, flashing heavy downhill life when on time and in sync. Developing command that will improve with proper syncing and coordination of larger frame. Slider is go to secondary offering, flashing good vertical action to it when thrown out in front and with conviction.
