Yandel Lopez is a 2022 C/ with a 5-9 200 lb. frame from Las Piedras, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Medium height with wide shoulders and an extra strong frame. Ran a 7.78 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, even set up and stays in line while gaining ground. Quick exchange with a short arm stroke and some arm strength, popping a 1.97. A left-handed hitter, starts with a balanced and relaxed set. Deep hand load and knee to knee trigger, strong core and powerful turn. The bat flies through the zone and he uses his strong wrists to drive balls deep to the pull side. Outstanding student.
