Chris Espinoza is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Victorville, CA who attends Adelanto. Stocky frame with present physicality to the build. Ran an 8.49 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows some youth to his actions and lateral range, gathers the ball with some length out front and funnels to his waist, builds momentum through receiving toward the bag and releases form a lower slot with slight carry across. Pitches as well, works at a deliberate pace with ease and looseness to his release through a low three-quarters slot, generates some sink to the fastball, commands it well and gets tight horizontal bite on the breaking ball. Right-handed hitter, sets up wide with high hands and a high back elbow using a quick replace trigger; has some length to the swing working on a level path, but shows an ability to adjust to get on plane and find the barrel at a consistent rate while generating line drive contact to the pull side.
