Eli Della Bitta is a 2024 RHP with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends La Costa Canyon. Tall high waisted build, lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Drop and drive mechanics on the mound, sinks into his lower half with a slow paced delivery, over the top arm slot, pretty low effort release. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, worked consistently to the bottom of the strike zone with some downhill angle. Threw a big low 60's breaking ball with 12/6 shape and had feel for landing it, best curveballs flashed bite with full arm speed. Also threw a fading change up. Good bet to keep improving as he gets stronger, strike thrower with multiple pitches. 7.31 runner in the sixty, plays the infield when not on the mound and did a good job of fielding the ball cleanly and making accurate throws. Very good student.
