KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Afternoon Session
Bri Tigges is a 5'10, class of 2024, OF/MIF from Urbandale, IA who attends Urbandale HS. Bri is a highly talented, up and coming player with skill at more than one position, More impressively, she can strike the softball while at the plate. She ran a 3.39 20-yard dash with a 1.12 5-yard split. A primary outfielder, Bri plays with controlled aggression. She attacks everything with a purpose. She has obvious confidence in her defensive ability. She carries herself like a skilled player should. She plays through the fielding action with plus momentum and transitions well. Her glove plays well and her powerful 62-mph throws are firm, hold their plane, and are highly accurate. Big promise as an outfielder. Bri also took a turn on the infield. She plays with obvious high energy. There is a bounce in her step. She uses the same aggressive mode on the dirt that she uses in the OF. Her glove is smooth and soft and her 60-mph throws are firm and true. Sound prospect on the dirt. At the plate, this young HS sophomore is really elite. Like most advanced hitters, she has a solid feel for the bunt game. She is balanced and relaxed at the ready. She shows an easy load and a quick trigger. She is smooth, easy and direct to contact and has a plus feel for the barrel. She can move the ball with force. She has plus gap-to-gap pop that is very loud. Lastly, she already has a plus ability to drive the ball out of the park. Very impressive and highly projectable college ready bat. Bri is a standout prospect with big upside ability. Should she choose to pay attention to detail and work on the smaller parts of her game, she will make a large jump because the big picture is solid. If she makes the weight room her '"friend" and gets even stronger, she may be able to choose where she goes to school to continue her career. Highly projectable player. Bright future!
