Jacob Tomb is a 2029 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Gallatin, TN who attends Liberty Creek High School. Slender young build with lots of time and room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium base with a deep hand load, well connected swing with good barrel accuracy, hits to all fields, still developing the strength to generate bat speed but has a good swing base to build on. 7.92 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, fielded the ball cleanly in the center of his body, tended to work his glove high to low, throws from a high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, made accurate soft throws. Also pitched, works from a slow paced delivery with the same over the top arm slot that he showed on defense, repeated his mechanics and threw consistent strikes. Fastball topped out at 73 mph and worked well to the glove side. Soft curveball showed some depth at times.
