Sean Ortiz is a 2028 2B/RHP, 3B, SS, MIF, IF, UT with a 5-4 125 lb. frame from Yucaipa, CA who attends Yucaipa. Features a smaller/lean build with plenty of room to add. Ran a 8.73 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed quality actions. Displayed sureness to his footwork and glovework. Avg. quickness but got his spots and set himself with good posture where he fielded with soft hands out front and some quickness to release. Used a shorter arm action that got off accurate throws across with avg. strength for his level. At the plate, he sits in a wider stance with some slight pre-engagement with his backside. Uses a simple forward move where his hands load the barrel into an upright position with knob facing forward. Hands then work on an uphill path to the baseball. Showed avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Was consistently under the baseball throughout his round producing minimal GBs. Best results were soft liners he sent back up the box. Is balanced throughout the swing. On the mound, he showed a simple, low-effort, slower tempo operation. Minimal lower half engagement showing a more tall/fall type delivery. Clean/continuous arm action out the glove and to release at a lower 3/4 slot. Smaller on-line strider. His fastball topped out at 66 and flashed a low-mid 50s developing breaker.
