2022 Sunshine East Showcase
Carlos Luca Tosca is a 2023 OF/1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Gulliver Schools. Showed good speed with a 6.80 second sixty. Primary outfielder with a larger physical build. Comes and gets the baseball well in the outfield fielding it on the side and transferring it cleanly with a long full arm action and above average arm speed on his accurate throws topping out at 89 mph. Made the plays at first base showing the same big arm strength across the diamond and developing action on the double play feeds. Left-handed hitter, starts with a narrow base and open stance. Gets back to even in his stance with a simple stride creating separation pre-swing. Showed big time bat speed with a tight compact turn into contact using the ground well to generate power and drive the baseball with authority. Excellent student. Named to the 2022 Sunshine East Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
