2021 California Workout Camp Session 5
Stanley Plecha is a 2022 3B/RHP, C, 1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Reno, NV who attends Bishop Manogue Catholic High School. Medium to Large frame with a physical build showing strength throughout the frame. Ran a 7.96 second sixty yard dash. Primary Third Baseman, sitting back on the baseball as he does a good job keeping the play in front of him. Gathers deep in the stance before funneling to the body. Works quickly into transfers as he threw it 80 mph across the diamond with carry. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side step to a belt high lift as he stays balanced throughout the motion. Drop and drive mechanics as he does a good job getting extended over the front side. Flashed feel for a three pitch mix. Fastball showing cut as he ran it up to 79 mph. Mixed in a fading changeup that looked to be a swing and miss type pitch as he tunneled it well off the fastball. Rounded off the arsenal with a sweeping breaking ball that is work in progress but shows upside. Secondary Catcher, sitting down in his stance athletically as he proved to have feel for framing the baseball. Catch and release skills showing as he transferred with urgency on throw downs. Accurate around the bag with throws as he recorded a pop time of 2.13 seconds. Secondary First Baseman, staying square to the baseball as he scooped it up with confidence. Fundamental in his footwork as he turned the proper way turning two and was on target with throws. Fits the first base profile as the glove plays as well. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced before working into a big coil load. Strides in and unwinds as he generated easy bat speed. Looked to lift the baseball and impact out front while driving it deep. Created loud contact when he timed the baseball up. Outstanding Student.
