Hunter Hill is a 2027 SS/1B/3B with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Dubuque, IA who attends Wahlert. Lean, long high-waisted build with plenty of room for additional strength. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop, gets a decent first step on the baseball and works through it with longer strides. Showed some feel for adjusting the glove and backhanding the baseball. Separates into a shorter arm path and releases the ball from a 3/4 slot. Displayed developing footwork and athleticism in the dirt. Recorded arm strength up to 71 mph across the diamond. Right-handed batter, starts in an even, upright stance with an even hand set-up. Utilizes a simple leg lift trigger for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Limits his connection and lower-half rotation. Showed feel for working the opposite-field gap with some natural strength in the barrel. Projects for more power with additional strength and minor mechanical refinements. Posted an exit velocity of 84 mph. Excellent student.
