Jacob Simmons is a 2022 C with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Delphos, OH who attends Jefferson. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, pre-loads his swing and starts from a still set, arm driven upper body swing with good strength behind it, gets the ball in the air consistently and has some lift, can develop more flow into his swing for more consistent timing. 7.03 runner in the sixty, good straight ahead runner. Young actions behind the plate defensively, still working on his glove to hand exchange, compact arm action with developing arm strength. Very good student.
